Description: Captured in the golden breath between day and night, Makana, The Gift honors the sacred cliffs of Kaua‘i’s north shore as they meet the restless Pacific. The title—Makana, meaning “gift” in Hawaiian—references both the name of the mountain and the deeper spiritual gesture of nature’s offering to those who come in reverence.
Here, a wash of molten color ignites the sky, streaking it with pinks and oranges as mist lifts gently from the shoreline. The jagged silhouette of Makana Ridge rises like a temple from the land, inviting contemplation. Makana, The Gift is a call to remember the sacred in the seen, and to approach the land as a teacher.
